AeroSpreader Help

Use and Maintain the AeroSpreader Feed Spinner

Adjust the Feed Spread

Change the angle of the nozzle to change the size of the feed spread.

Adjustable nozzle on the upper elbow. A is the bolt on the T-bolt clamp. B is the nozzle. C is the edge of the upper elbow.
  1. Loosen the bolt (A) on the T-bolt clamp.

  1. Turn the nozzle (B) to set the size of the feed spread.

    • Turn the nozzle opening down for a smaller spread circle.

    • Turn the nozzle opening up for a larger spread circle.

  2. Push the nozzle until the edge of the nozzle touches the edge of the upper elbow (C). There must be no gap.

  3. Tighten the bolt (A) on the T-bolt clamp. Do not overtighten the bolt.

Check the Bolt Protectors

Check the bolt protectors regularly. Each bolt protector must cover a bolt. If a bolt is not covered, the end of the bolt can damage fish scales.

  1. Look at the bolt protector at the counterweight. Make sure that the bolt protector covers the counterweight bolt.

  2. If the pole has 2 pieces, look at the bolt protector at the pole connector. Make sure that the bolt protector covers the bolt on the pole connector.

  3. If a bolt protector has moved, slide the bolt protector back over the bolt.

Clean the Bearing

The feed spinner bearing does not need grease. You can clean the bearing with water and soap, with compressed air, or with both.

Remove the Bearing

  1. Remove the 4 bolts that attach the bearing to the lower elbow.

  2. Put the bearing in the water.

  3. Rotate the bearing in both directions. This removes dirt from inside the bearing.

  4. Rinse the bearing well with clean water.

Clean with Compressed Air

  1. Blow compressed air into the bearing.
